August Book List.
When we got back from our summer break, I was ready for autumn!
My brain doesn’t work well with hot temperatures…
The books I took up this month were about colour and I read about or looked at autumn like colours.
From warm ochers via russet to dark hazelnut, earthy tones.
In this August Book List there is a colour overload:-))
A Dictionary of Color Combinations Vol. 2 a lovely little Japanese booklet with literally colour combinations of all sorts. The first edition I fell in love with a few years ago. Now they sit together in my desktop bookcase and I take them out to be inspired. You can imagine which colours I was checking out;-)
Kassia St Clair wrote the book The secret lives of color. A book filled with beautiful colour names, like orpiment, a yellowish hue. Every colour is explained with a little story, easy to read and it feels like a historic novel.
She also wrotes the book The Golden Thread: how fabric changed history. With a beautiful gold cut on the side, it makes this book feel like a special history book about textiles. An inspiring history on human craft.

I guess this silk scarf by Margaret Howell has the perfect autumn colour combination. A pale pink with a nice russet hue.

In this digital age we still carry loose coins and bankcards…
Where do you keep them? In this snap purse in beautiful cognac suede.

The frames by Ace & Tate, I love them. I currently wear a Neil in black, but this Neil in desert spice looks really great!
